Apple may launch new version of AirPods in 2019
Novelty is small, but there is forecast of completely reformulated version already in 2020
According to market analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will release a new version of AirPods earlier this year.
The novelty of the Apple branded wireless headphones will be the ability to carry the case to where they are transported without the need for wires.
Kuo is optimistic about the numbers of this accessory of Apple, putting the gadget in the list of the most popular of all the times, with sales that go from the 16 million units sold last year to 100 million in 2021.
The analyst says that what will help in the rather generous growth will be the new version of next year, with a feature that was promised in 2017.
In it, the internal battery of the box that recharges the headphones can be recharged on induction charging surfaces.
It’s the same technology that has been compatible with iPhones since the iPhone 8 and was promised by Apple last year, next to AirPower, which would carry an iPhone and the AirPods box at the same time.
In addition to the box, the Bluetooth connection will also be improved and this may mean less battery consumption or improvements in the connection between the headset and the iPhone.
Kuo also said that the new box can be purchased separately, which can be a relief for those who have wireless chargers and have already purchased AirPods in the past.
With the arrival of the new version of AirPods, there is the possibility of AirPower see the light of day and be officially launched.
In addition to the new accessory for 2019, Kuo says a new headset design is under development and its launch is slated for early 2020 – without detailing what will actually be introduced in this release.
