Samsung Leverages Android Go to Brazil: Galaxy J2 Core and Galaxy J4 Core, see!
After Motorola with Moto E5 Play and other manufacturers, it is time for Samsung to sell the first Android phones in Brazil lighter.
The company announced on Wednesday (05) the launch of Galaxy J2 Core and Galaxy J4 Core in the country, with suggested prices of $ 799 and $ 899 (respectively). They are smartphones with simplified datasheet and storage of only 16 GB.
The big highlight goes to Android 8 (Oreo) Go Edition. Part of Google’s Go initiative, the system is optimized to run better on devices with limited hardware.
In addition, the Internet giant offers a number of applications – such as Chrome, Gmail, YouTube, Wizard, Maps and Gboard, among others – designed to demand less from the phone at the cost of offering fewer features.
Galaxy J2 Core
The Galaxy J2 Core has a 5-inch screen and a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. From a technical point of view, the display can not natively reproduce even HD video, technology that has already been surpassed by Full HD and even 4K on YouTube channels.
Its processor is Exynos 7570, with 4 cores and a maximum speed of 1.4 GHz. The battery has a nominal capacity of 2,600 mAh. It is available in black and silver, running Android 8.0 (Oreo) Go.
Galaxy J4 Core
With more advanced specifications than the J2 Core, the Galaxy J4 Core offers 6-inch screen and HD + resolution (1480 x 720 pixels).
It features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, with 4 cores and a maximum speed of 1.4 GHz. The data sheet quotes a 3,300 mAh battery. It is sold in black, bronze and blue, entitled to Android 8.1 (Oreo) Go – a version above the J2 Core.
Both phones share some features. For example, the photographic set with main camera of 8 megapixels and f / 2.2 and camera of selfies of 5 megapixels and f / 2.2. The LED flash assists in photos at night or in places with low light.
